Empire Market

This vibrant four-season market showcases the best of our area’s local products. Housed in a 1907 building that was donated to Downtown Joplin Alliance by Empire District Electric Company, this enclosed market features vendors from a 150-mile radius selling produce, meats, eggs, wine, coffee, handcrafted personal care products, and local arts and crafts. Food trucks, live music, and special events add a festival-like element to the market, turning a shopping trip into a lively social experience. The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with ample parking available in a lot to the east of the building.
