Joplin Freedom of Flight Museum
Located inside Joplin Regional Airport's previous terminal, the Freedom of Flight Museum Inc. is a dedicated group of flight enthusiasts focused on stimulating and fostering an interest in aviation and space flight in the Joplin and the surrounding four-state area.
Visitors will learn how airplanes fly, how to travel in space, how to train for jobs in the aviation field, aviation history, and about aviation veterans.
Visitors can also explore this retired terminal of the Joplin Regional Airport, enjoy photo galleries, hands-on activities, games, and artifact restoration.
The Museum is open Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 pm. Tours can be scheduled for other days by calling 417.553.8130. There is no admission fee. Groups are welcome, and there is a meeting space available.
