Pro Musica

When musicians who have played at Carnegie Hall come to Joplin to perform you make sure to hear them. Thanks to the organization Pro Musica this happens about five or six times a year and the most amazing part is that these concerts are free to the public. Pro Musica’s mission is “to foster interest in appreciation for and enjoyment of classical music in Joplin"" and it does so by bringing world-class string quartets saxophone quartets piano trios vocal groups and other variations to our city. Pro Musica also presents a jazz concert and an outdoor PoPs concert every June as well as an international symphony orchestra every other year and these concerts are ticketed events.
