Visit Joplin MO is happy to offer the following free services to make your travelers feel extra special!
Step-On Guides:
Our office does not charge for step-on services within the regular business hours of Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm; we simply ask for a donation to a local nonprofit. Most groups offer $2 - $5 per person. Please have your donation check ready when your group arrives. Please contact Visit Joplin MO to make arrangements
(After-hours and weekend services are subject to a $5 per person if staying with a Joplin lodging partner and $10 per person if not staying with a Joplin lodging partner.)
Joplin City Hall Visit
Stop by the Visit Joplin MO Route 66 Visitors Center in historic Joplin City Hall, located on Route 66. Our staff will give your group a talk about this historic building and share the history of Joplin's beginnings via our Thomas Hart Benton mural. The group may then walk one-half block to view the Route 66 Mural Park. Please contact Visit Joplin MO to make arrangements.
After the City Hall visit, let your group have lunch on their own at one of the eight eateries around City Hall in downtown Joplin.
City Hall also makes a great rest stop, as it has two floors of multi-stall restrooms.
